hello i have stayed with alfresco for a number of year and am quite happy to do so this year, how ever i want you to recommend a venue, i have stayed in lake garda, venus , castell mongri and holland. i would be interested in somewhere different, i would also want somewhere lively as i have two boys with me age 16 and 13 so i would want accomodation for 4 people.
my favourite place was castell mongri but we have stayed there 3 times
could you recommend another site, we dont mind what country, our date would be 24th june for 7 nite but we are flexible 2/3 days
    thanking you

Hi, we would highly recommend you try the Atlantic Coast of France. The long sandy beaches provide the perfect spot for you to chill out and for your son’s to take on lots of watersports such as surfing, bodyboarding and skim boarding.

We have stay on this coast for the last 10 years and have never failed to have a great holiday. As for which area – we have often stayed in the Vendee area (St Jean de Monts being a favourite) but have to say that last years trip to Royan was the best holiday to date. Royan is further south than Vendee so a bit warmer, plenty to do in the area including the zoo at Palmyre and the indoor markets at Royan.

The park we stayed at was Bonne Anse Plage – which is a larger park than we usually stay in, but it didn’t feel like it because of the great layout… lots of tree cover and gentle hills make lots of little secluded quiet areas. The pool has some great flumes and plenty of space to laze in the sun, as well as a little bar. Kid’s entertainment at the park is good with Eurocamp, Keycamp and Siblu all running clubs during the day – lots for older children to do including football and tennis.

Night time entertainment during the season is excellent, with shows running for kids and then family each night on the outdoor stage. The bar is right next to it so you can enjoy your drinks outside watching the fun. It is good fun. The entertainment finishes at 11pm each night and the park is very quiet after this so you can get a good nights rest!

All in all, our favourite park.

Thomson Al Fresco are not at Bonne Anse currently. We stayed there with Eurocamp who were very good, as always. This is a Siblu park however and we checked out their accommodation while there and thought it looked good. Comparing prices we got the impression it was definitely cheaper with Siblu and so would seriously consider them this year.

I hope that all helps. Relevant links below:
