Hemsby holiday park closes
The owners of Pontin’s, Ocean Parcs, has announced today that the Holiday Centre based in Hemsby will close in January. It plans to focus its efforts on its six other Holiday Centres and Ocean Parcs is committed to developing the Pontin’s brand and delivering an even greater value for money holidays.
At the time, Ocean Parcs purchased the Pontin’s business, Hemsby Holiday Centre was acquired on a short term lease whilst its future potential was reviewed. However, following a strategic review of the whole Estate it was decided that Hemsby did not fit the future development and expansion strategy and with declining bookings, it was not viable to continue trading for the remainder of the 9 month lease.
Bookings are up year on year and its owners believe there are exciting opportunities to expand the Pontin’s brand for the long term future of the business.
