Gatwick to be sold?

The Competition Commission looks set to tell BAA to sell some of its airports – rumoured to be Gatwick, Stansted and Edinburgh.  BAA, which is owned by Spanish business Ferrovial, currently runs 7 British airports, including Heathrow, but has been under fire for poor customer service and performance.

The Competition Commission believe that new owners for some of the airports will improve competition in the British airport sector and as a result improve the service being offered to British travellers and holiday makers.
