Little Kings Park holiday park features summary

"We have just returned from a fantastic week away and I just wanted to share this with anyone else who may be thinking of going! We arrived at Little Kings fairly late in the afternoon/early evening, and was let through the barrier by the warden on duty. She advised us that we could park our car in the small car park next door and just walk through to our caravan. They like to keep cars away from the site itself, making it safe for the children to play. She gave us some info on local attractions, advised us on how everything worked and gave us a nice little basket packed with tea, coffee, milk and sugar - just what we needed after our long drive from the Weston country! The caravan itself was brilliant, it was absolutely spotless and everything had been well thought through - from a toilet roll to a corkscrew! The fixtures and furniture were modern, clean and, importantly, none of it was broken. We had rain for one day but that didn't spoil our time whatsoever. We visited Folly Farm which is just great, and also went to Oakwood. The sun was shining wonderfully and there was hardly anyone in the park (go on a weekday if you can), so we didn't have to queue for anything! It really was great and the kids (8, 3) loved it. We also visited a beautiful beach called Wisemans bridge and it really was like being abroad, the sea was perfectly blue and the sand was golden - we had a lovely afternoon paddling in the sea and finding crabs! We also took a trip out to Caldey island, which I would highly reccommend. The boat trip takes about 20 minutes and you can stay on the island for as long as you want. The last boat back is 5pm, great if you want to take a picnic and spend the whole day there! Caldey itself is stunning, very peaceful and tranquil, the monastry is just beautiful, you almost feel asthough you're in Italy not Wales! The only trip we didn't manage was the dolphin spotting, which we are gutted about. Due to the time of year, the sea has been very choppy and we were advised this on the phone by the various companies offering the trips, so we didn't think this was a good idea with our 2 and a half year old daughter, so its something saved for next year. If you do fancy the trip though, a good company is 'A Bay To Remember', they have a website so check out times and prices before you go! We headed out for a carvery on the Sunday and found a lovely little place called The Bush Inn which is about fifteen minutes drive away - I can honestly say that this was the best roast I've had in ages, definitely worth a look! All in all we had a fantatsic week away and are now looking forward to next years trip. I would highly recommend Little Kings as a great place to stay, you really couldn't ask for more! 13/09/2010 00:00:00"
