Duty free cheer for long haul travellers
Some good news for holiday makers heading for long haul International destinations as they will be able to return with more beer, wine, perfume and gadgets.
For travellers going further afield than the EU the new allowances include up to 16 litres of beer, 4 litres of wine and an unlimited amount of perfume. And the value of other goods you are allowed to return with has increased from £145 to £300 – in January this will increase further to £340.
This is great news for the long haul traveller but sadly there is no such good news for the EU holiday maker as all these limits remain unchanged.
